Howdy pups! Just so you know, the battery in our pawrents camera bit the dust and Pop is having a hard time finding a replacement. So that could account for us not posting very often – or not. We’re not sure. So in the mean time, enjoy this video of a pup who is EXTREMELY happy to see his Pop come home!
Boy, did I have a HUGE day yesterday. It was my first annual checkup at the V-E-T. Do you know what that means? It means that I’ve been in my new furever home for almost a whole year! (December 1st is my adoption day in case anypup wants to send pressies ;-)) Mom took me to in the morning and I had 3 shots in my little hiney and I didn’t even make a peep. The doctor said I was looking great and he even listened to my heart because dogs like me tend to have problems in that area. I weigh in at a whopping 18 pounds – that’s up 4 pounds from when I was first adopted, but I do have a stinky ear infection so I have to have drops for the next 3 weeks. But other than that, I’m awesome! I don’t know what all the fuss is about. It’s not so bad visiting the doctor 🙂
Well pups, we have some sad news. Our cousin Maggie needed a little help crossing the rainbow bridge on Friday. We guess that she wanted to play with Simon and Scarlett again and eat heavenly cheese. Our grandma and grandpa are pretty sad but Pop told us that now she doesn’t have that icky disease anymore so that makes us feel a little better. We’re so happy that we got to hang with her a couple weeks ago but we’re really going to miss her.
Last week, we all went on a road trip to visit Maggie (and Grandma & Grandpa) and have a sleep over! It was pawsome. Me and Tommy got to ride in the car and after I woke up from my nap, we were at Grandma’s! I’ve been there before, but this was Tommy’s first trip away from home that wasn’t to the V-E-T or the lake. We had a great time lounging on strange sofas and chairs and playing with all of Maggie’s toys. Plus, Pop thinks Grandma slipped us some goodies while cooking in the kitchen. Maggie is a super sweet girl who’s been having a tough time of it lately. She has a sickness that almost brought her to the Bridge a few weeks ago, but she’s a tough cookie, and fought back. We’re sooo glad we had the chance to spend some time with her while she was feeling well.
When we came home, me and Tommy had fur-cut appointments and this time Tommy wanted to get a “real” cut – that means he wanted to look more like me 🙂 So the last two pics below show how handsome he looks with his “puppy-cut”. I do have to admit, he looks super cute!
Finally! Mom & Pop broke out the sushi toys that our pup friend, Prada gave to us. We got to taste some “doggie sushi”, tuna, and shrimp! Well, it wasn’t technically the real thing but hey, they squeaked! After about 15 minutes the toys were starting to be de-stuffed and I almost got the squeaker out of the shrimp but Pop took it away from me. Tommy even seemed to enjoy them although I had to show him how to make squeaky music. Sooner or later, he’ll get the hang of it 🙂
Isn’t this amazing? Our Pop isn’t nearly as good as these guys but he’s trying. And that’s why me and Tommy have been M.I.A. for so long. All he wants to do is practice, practice, practice. We like to watch and listen to him, but what does he see in that guitar of his? It isn’t even furry and warm! He keeps promising us that he’s going to break out our Sushi squeaky toys that have been hiding in the kitchen but so far, nothing. We’ll keep trying to be irresistible so he HAS to take pictures and videos of us to share. But until then, we’ll be tapping our paws and learning the jig 🙂
